Our Appraisal Services
Copper Star Appraisal offers complete Appraisal and Valuation services in the following categories:
Simple Valuation/Consultation (Expert Opinion Only, No Documetation Provided)
Information provided during a consultation is not an appraisal, and a written document is not to the client.
If you need a written document showing the value of an item, you must obtain an appraisal.
Simple valuation/Consultion involves a verbal estimate of value only.
Such an estimate can be helpful when a client is trying to gather information such as what was the purpose of the item(s), what is the potential value of the item, estimating values within a non-taxable estate (helpful in distributing assets to heirs), helping a client decide whether to sell or keep an item, determining the best market for selling an item, aiding in the decision whether to buy an item or get an existing item restored.
Simple Valuation/Consultation involves a one-time fee of $250.00.
Full Written, Researched Appraisals (Including IRS Forms as required)
All Copper Star Appraisals conform to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and the standards set forth by the American Society of Appraisers and The Appraisal Foundation.
Written appraisals may be required for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to those listed below:
Insurance Replacement Coverage, Loss/Damage claims for insurance reimbursement, Equable Division/Distribution both within and outside of Estates, Federal and State Probate for Estates, Conservatorships, IRS requirements for both charitable non-cash donation and taxable estates nd estimate of value for sale at auction.
Full Written Researched Appraisals involve a fee of $150.00 per hour for on-site inventory and photography.
An estimate of total charges will be given at the time of engagement and contract signature, but cannot be guaranteed. The client will be informed of any additional fees for third-party consultations before they are incurred so that the client may choose to either accept or decline the additional charges.
NOTE: third-party consultations are sometimes necessary in order to complete an accurate estimate of value and will be noted as such within any given Appraisal.
